What Causes Kidney Stones And What Can Be Done To Treat Them

It is a very-true and straightforward fact that our diet plays a major role in determining how we feel both mentally and physically. Eating a healthy and nutritious diet helps in preventing a lot of diseases while on the other hand a poor choice of diet can lead to a number of ailments and some of them can even be life threatening. In this article we are going to mainly discuss about one of the most common health problems called kidney stones and find out how this problem can be prevented and how to remove kidney stones naturally at home and avoid dreadful surgery.Kidney stones cause a very sharp pain to the affected person and cause a lot of discomfort as well as prevent the kidney from performing their normal functions effectively. They are formed when our bodies try to neutralize the effect of accumulated toxins in the body. The good thing is that these stones can be dissolved at home and your kidneys can start functioning normally with the help of homeopathic or natural medicine. There are eight different types of kidney stones which are made in our body and you will be surprised to know that the sharp pain people experience in their lower back due to these stones is not due to these stones, that pain is caused by sharp crystals that our kidneys make in order to neutralize or minimize the effects of oxalic acid on the body.Oxalic acid is a very harmful acid and in order to eliminate this acid from the system our body first tries neutralizing it with calcium to form calcium oxalate (CaC2O4). The problem is that our kidneys can only keep a certain amount of calcium oxalate in them hence the excess amount is converted into crystals.Things Which Instigate Kidney Stones ProblemThere are a lot of things we eat and drink each which put extra pressure and work load on our kidneys. For example a glass of iced or regular tea contains almost 20% oxalic acid, chocolate is also rich in this acid and drinking it as a beverage should be avoided. Sometimes phosphates can also cause formation of stones hence cut down on intake of carbonated beverages, meat and grains.Drinking lot of water, juice and eating fresh vegetables can help in preventing formation of these stones. There are also many natural products both homeopathic and ayurvedic available in the market which help in effectively dissolving kidney stones. So before going ahead with surgery it is worth trying them out.

Wellie Collection Cosmetic Cases Aren't Just for Cosmetics Anymore

It used to be that women bought large cosmetic cases for the purpose of holding their makeup, brushes, creams, and lotions. Most often, the cosmetic bag was stashed inside a bathroom vanity or popped into a suitcase for a vacation or business trip. Today, however, cosmetic cases come in all shapes and sizes, and definitely the bright and bold colors make a designer statement.Cases that designers are manufacturing, like the Wellie Collection Signature line, encourage women to have several cosmetic cases in a variety of colors. Since the well-designed bags usually have a zipper and a waterproof interior, women like to use one side for their makeup, and the other side for car keys, pencils, and intimate items. When the case opens like a clam shell, and has a clear see-through compartment, it makes it much easier for finding items. They're so stylish, in fact, that women can use them as a small handbag for those quick trips to the store. Just toss your driver's license, your credit card, and cell phone into one of the little compartments and you're out the door in no time. The advantage with this size of a case is that it can easily slip into your pocket, yet if you were traveling, you could even hang it on a hook in the bathroom.Plus, The Wellie Collection cosmetic cases aren't just for women. For the forward-thinking male who loves color, these make an ideal quick purchase for holding your toiletries without lugging around one of those large, and over-sized male version toiletry bags that weigh a ton.Women can also benefit from the variety of sizes, which makes it possible to have two or three cosmetic cases that can be moved from one designer handbag to another. No need to empty out a large tote bag. Just keep your cosmetics, toiletries, makeup, brushes, and any other essentials in several bags. Then when you want to select a handbag to wear in the evening that's different from what you took to work that day, all you have to do is shift the cases from one handbag to another.Besides makeup, blush, and lipstick, here is a short list of other items that women have been known to stash inside their cosmetic cases:

perfume
jewelry
eyebrow pencils
hair clips
cotton balls
fabric swatches
spools of thread
craft projects
toys
buttons
coins
designer pens
cameras
binoculars
packets of sugar
veggies
snacks for kids

Vegan Travel - 3 Secrets You Have Not Heard Before About How To Travel And Be Vegan

Vegan travel seems difficult at first until you have some practice. When I first wanted to know how to travel and be vegan, I did it the old fashioned way - I tried it and made mistakes. Here are 3 things I always remember now on my vegan travel adventures:1. Couchsurfing - A Helping Hand For Vegan TravelCouchsurfing is an international movement with over 2 million members in all major cities and even many small towns around the world. It is a great help for vegan travel or any travel. People will let you stay on their couch for a couple of nights and often show you around their city just to be nice. How does this relate to vegan travel? Many of these people will also be happy just to meet you for a couple of hours, and yes of course there are vegan and vegetarian couchsurfers, too.It is really easy to find someone who will show you the best places to buy groceries and health food and point out the best vegan-friendly restaurants. They may even go out to dinner with you or have you over for dinner.Make yourself an account at couchsurfing.org and start searching for people. This is one of my favorite pieces of advice on how to travel and be vegan.2. Magic Bullet or Hand Blender - A Health Tip For Vegan TravelIf you are a vegan travel nut and also a health nut, it's a good idea to bring a magic bullet blender or a hand blender to easily make delicious smoothies on the road.I also bring some spirulina powder, hemp protein and maybe a few other superfoods and then all I need is some fruit and green veggies to make an amazingly healthy and great-tasting drink. It's really important even during vegan travel to put things into your body that make you feel like superman (or superwoman).Sometimes I go really simple and just use the following:
1 cup water
1 banana
2 Tbsp spirulina powder
2 Tbsp hemp protein (optional)
I don't want to go and make it too complicated here, but if I have it around, I'll add any or all of the following:
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp flax oil
1/2 tsp sea minerals
1 high quality multivitamin
1 Tbsp probiotic (I use effective microorganisms)
other fruit
greens and sprouts
3. Oats, Apricots, and Spices - A Food Tip For Vegan TravelIn addition to my superfoods, I like to bring a few staples so that I don't have to worry about having nothing to eat on my first vegan travel day.I bring rolled oats for my breakfast. I bring apricots and other dried fruit for snacks.I know, when it comes to how to travel and be vegan, I know this tip isn't that original, but have you thought about spices? Since I make a lot of my own food on the road while staying in hostels or couchsurfing, I like to premix some dried herbs and spices and bring them to make things easier for dinner.

In fact, if you want to see me make my favorite vegan travel maple blueberry walnut oatmeal recipe and banana spirulina smoothie recipe on video and my recipes for the spice mixes I bring, you can check them out for free here: http://www.healthyveganrecipes.net/featured/vegan-travelHeather Nauta is a registered holistic nutritionist who teaches you how to travel and be vegan.
